Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Literature

The department of Languages, Linguistics, and Literature is housed within the School of Arts and Social Sciences was started in 2014. This was necessitated by the increasing enrolment of students with a focus on Languages, Linguistics, and Literature. In line with the vision and mission of Kisii University, the Department of Languages, Linguistics and Literature has successfully facilitated cutting–edge pedagogy and research that has enabled a number of competent students to graduate with a Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. degrees that continue to contribute to a variety of settings.

Mission

In line with the mission of Kisii University, the Department of Languages, linguistics, and Literature seeks to produce innovative and creative graduates with a superior intercultural understanding and the ability to communicate in diverse ways.
